Surf Club Condos at the Four Seasons Hotel Surfside

The Surf Club, located in Surfside on the Atlantic Ocean, is in the midst of undergoing some rather large and impressive changes. The Surf Club owners, Fort Capital, announced that they were entering in to a “brand and management” deal with the Four Seasons, a luxury hotel company. This will mark the third property in South Florida managed by the Four Seasons. In addition to the 80 rooms at the Four Seasons at the Surf Club, they will also be creating the Surf Club Four Seasons Private Residences.

The Private Residences will feature 150 luxury condo units as well as penthouses in two towers, and it is set to open in 2016. The two 12-story towers for the residences will feature all of the quality, luxury, and class commonly associated with the Four Seasons brand.

What Is the Surf Club?

Founded in 1930 by Harvey Firestone and designed by architect Russell Pancoast, it began as a private club. It has been an important fixture in the Miami Beach area since its inception, and was a popular place for many high-class world leaders and celebrities. Some of the notables who spent time at the Surf Club include Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra, and Elizabeth Taylor. The new structures will preserve the historic and iconic building.

One of the goals of the Fort Capital team that bought the property in 2012 was to make it even better, while making sure to retain all of the elements and the charm that made it a special location in the first place. The partnership with the Four Seasons helps to ensure that, as they are a company known for having the highest level of quality and devotion to visitors and residents.

The Four Seasons felt that joining with the Surf Club was an excellent move, as well, since it allows them to expand their reach and their brand in Florida, which is an area that is continuing to do well for them with the other properties they are developing, including the nearly complete Orlando resort. Everyone is confident that visitors to the hotel, as well as buyers of the condominiums and penthouses will be more than pleased with the results when the buildings are unveiled in 2016.

What Do the Condominiums at the Surf Club Offer?

The 150 condominiums in the two towers have close to fifty different configurations from which buyers can choose. They vary in style and size so they can accommodate nearly any type of buyer. The sizes range from 1,400 square feet and up to 8,000 for the largest residences in the towers. They have high ceilings and floor to ceiling glass. They will have gorgeous views of the ocean as well as downtown Miami.

The Surf Club features nearly a thousand feet of oceanfront property along a 9-acre site. In addition to the hotel and the residential towers, it also features a spa and a fitness center, a park and gardens, as well as forty beach cabanas. The site will also have four swimming pools, and two restaurants.

Located at the top of the residence towers are thirteen unique penthouses. They feature eight single story penthouses and five two-story residences. They offer all of the great features of the condominiums, but they can offer quite a bit more for those buyers who want true luxury. They have private outdoor spaces, rooftop decks, plunge pools, summer kitchens, and other impressive features.

The ocean-to-bay master suites have a sitting room with two master bathrooms and two customized dressing rooms that feature specialized closets. They come with a dedicated beach cabana area, and 20-ft double height living rooms with unparalleled ocean views. They offer separate service entrances as well as stairs and staff quarters with private baths. Each of the bedrooms in the unit has en suite bathrooms.

Another impressive feature of the penthouses will be the large chef’s kitchens, all of which will include custom cabinetry, gas cook tops, dishwashers, cold storage backup power, and side-by-side wine and refrigerator storage. The penthouses will have hardwood interior doors, sound attenuating walls, climate control systems, and automatic shades. The penthouses have the potential to be some of the most impressive and outstanding luxury properties in the Miami area.

Owners will be just steps from the cabanas and the beachfront when they are at the Surf Club. One of the best things about living in south Florida is the incredible number of area attractions within a very short distance.  For instance, Sunny Isles Beach, one of the most prestigious and highly rated towns in the Miami area, provides immediate access to some of the hottest areas in the south Florida region. Sunny Isles Beach lies on a barrier island, between Bal Harbour and Golden Beach.
